Ghost Hunt at Old Tatton Hall in Cheshire with Ghost Night Events & Mediums Julie and Adrian Clarke 23rd June 2012!

The Old Tatton Hall Ghost Hunt on the 23 and 24th June 2012 with the amazing Mediums Julie and Adi Clark.

The Old Tatton Hall ghost hunt was special. The guests who were there that night were natural ghost hunters!

The Old Tatton Hall was originally a timber framed building but later replaced by a red brick building in the 17th century set in acres of lush Greenland and woods in which deers roam. The Hall is lovingly cared for by the Steward Mike, a remarkably friendly and knowledgeable man whoM the whole team liked so much and were glad to have met.

After the guests arrived Rachel introduced the guests to ghost hunting. She pointed out that the first thing to do with ghost hunting was to look for a normal explanation rather than a paranormal explanation and that was the key to a great evening. The team for that evening was Brett who is so knowledgeable the life of Aleister Crowley, the beautiful Amanda the psychologist, the affable Craig and myself, Kester, with the technical equipment.

To start the evening, events of the previous ghost hunt were recounted due to the success of that evening. The guests were enthralled how on a previous ghost hunt we had a deaf lady through sign language recount how she had experienced a ‘whistling’ as we had ourselves heard it and how at St.Briavels Castle we asked the spirit of a clergyman questions in Koine Greek and receive and answer in the same language. Then after the introduction and a coffee the ghost hunt began.

As we went into the Great Hall, Mike lit a fire to keep us warm from the rain outside. Adi earlier felt as though there were a troopof people around him in relation to Charles I (1625-1649) and Julie felt the presence of a lady with a small hat, tunic and pinafore walking out in the surrounding areas. One minute she is playing and the other times she is confused why she is there. She went on to say she felt there was a connection with worship. Mike the Steward said services had been held at Tatton Hall as Adi asked me to take a picture of the balcony above. It was where he said a spirit, possibly a clergyman, had just passed. Julie, on the other side of the hall and outside of hearing range of Adi said a monk had just gone out the door on the floor below. It is not surprising that so many monks and clergymen appear in spirit. Right up until recent history the Church was all powerful in England as the dominant power. As the sun went down the fire grew and gave light and warmth to the darkness.

Upstairs we went into the spinning room. This was a cosy mediaeval like room with a slopping floor. It was Mike’s, Rachel and my favourite room although Adi had an uncomfortable feeling. Mike recounted that he had an interesting experience there. As he tried to leave the room one day there was a distinct line across the doorway where he felt something like an electric shock.Possibly a Portal. Before we left Adi asked if there had been a tapping on the floor like that of someone using a cane. Mike hadn’t heard anything like that but he has heard footsteps when he was working alone in that area. Before we left Julie mentioned the first of many temperature drops. A guest then took a startling picture of the wooden roof beams. They appeared to be burned in the picture whereas we could see that they were perfectly normal. It was incredible.

In the bedchamber, Mike mentioned that this room was built around 1585 and is for him a quiet room but for others quite an active place. It was a large room with a four poster bed guarded by a suit of armour. Beside the bed stood a grand fireplace opposite the window looking out onto the lawn. To the right of the window, a spiralling staircase and to the left, a wooden door towards the spinning room and great hall. Adi said he felt suicidal there, angry, frustrated and Julie picked up mixed emotions, that there was a spirit taking care of another spirit in the bed. Adi also picked up the name Bosworth and Mike said there were two brothers who left there to fight at the battle of Bosworth. The bed chamber would prove to be very interesting later on.

The kitchen below was like the bed chamber a starting point of so much activity. Adi felt the presence of a spirit who told him to ‘get out.’ He asked this spirit to speak into the Dictaphone and as I listen to it now to recall events of that night there does appears to be a murmur in the background. It is not enough to be definite but it is interesting. Guests captured interesting pictures here while my camera refused to work and like the bed chamber there was more to come. Besides the kitchen in the living room Mike talked about the hangings that had, allegedly taken place. Julie sensed immediately a sensation of being hanged before she heard Mike speak or even reached the living room. Interestingly, Mike had before the guests arrived mentioned that some people had felt as though a ribbon had been felt around people’s necks. Adi picked up onthe name ‘Hester’ which Mike said had a connection to the local mansion. With such an unusual name it was amazing that Mike could confirm validity.

For the first vigil the group split into two groups. One group went to the kitchen and into the adjacent bedroom whereas the other group went to the bed chamber. Those in the kitchen tried some table tipping. Adi explained how togently place their fingers on the edge of the table and ask spirits to come forward and to give the table a nudge or make it rock backwards and forwards. In the dark and with the sound of rain water running down the walls outside the atmosphere was a little spooky. Although the table did not move people began to feel both cold and hot spots around the kitchen. As some people felt their necks go cold they at the same time felt their backs become hot. In the adjacent bedroom the guests really came into their own. They explored the room so professionally. Although the hearing enhancers and EMF detectors yielded nothing they used their own senses to explore the bedroom and kitchen area. It was noticed that there were hot and cold spots which appeared to gently move about. Strikingly right in the doorway we could put out our hands and feel a distinct hot spot. Some guests were really surprised by what they felt and it did not seem to make sense in context of the rooms. The fireplace also felt hot despite not being used nor was there a draft felt through it while the bedroom itself was cold. Then, one guest approached me to ask how an EMF detector would work – he later came up with something startling.

For the next vigil we swapped places with the other group and moved upstairs. The bed chamber was a less inviting place in the dark yet at the same time had such a peaceful feeling that many of us could easily have stayed, permanently. A cold spot was instantly detected right by a young lady sitting next to the bed. I took a picture and right by her feet was an orb. Since the experience of Haunted no 35 Stonegate in York I have come to accept the validity of some orbs so long as there is a sound context and this was certainly a sound context. The cold spot remained by the bed and the fireplace was checked for drafts. There were none. Before we left the bed chamber it was certain that there was a some spirit or spirits were amongst us. We then returned to the Spinning room to try the Ouija board under the soft glow of torch lights. We asked a few questions but it was onlylater that we began to receive a response. Slowly, very slowly the planchette used on the board began to move. It picked up speed when Mike joined the table and asked who might be there.

Spirits would recognise Mike for all the care he has tended on Old Tatton Hall so why would they not respond insome way? The planchet moved to ‘yes’ when Mike asked if they were happy much to the surprise and intrigue of the guests. This spirit again responded, ‘yes’when asked if his name was George, somebody who Mike knew of and who passed away at the age of seven. To end the session Mike asked if it was William there playing tricks on people but therewas no answer yet Adi got the name Mary. Yet, by then the board remained silent, motionless. To end the session Adi suggested we sit in silence with the torches switched off to see what we may sense or hear. We all left with such a sense of peace from that room.

After another break the Ouija boardwas tried again in the living room nearby the kitchen area. To begin everyone respectfully introduced themselves. Things began quietly but after much coaxing the planchet began to move with no clear answers until were turned to the Spinning room. Adi asked the spirit to move the planchet to the person it would like to communicate with. It moved with a distinct motion toone guest lady. The spirit then gave its initial letter as a Q or possibly an R and not a relation of the lady the planchet moved to. It appeared that this spirit was, ‘Sam’ who was afraid of ‘Tom.’ The guests did well to get such information from yes and no questions but they were remarkably astute and adventurous all night. Again, Sam replied that there were seven spirits present and that we were all welcome. Indeed, most spirits are really welcoming and not frightening at all butit is reassuring to be welcomed even by spirits. What was so special about the guests this night was their foresight to ask yes and no questions of the Ouija board. Most people forget and ask questions that need more than a yes and no answer. These guests were really good.

For the final vigil the guests moved into the Great Hall while other guests could not resist the temptation togo down into the cellars which look like a dungeon. As the Great Hall is big the cellars are small. As the Great Hall is open beneath magnificent wooden beams, the cellars were closed, windowless and with a low ceiling. I took the opportunity to head down there with an infrared camera. In total darkness it became disorientating and through the small screen I followed the walls around and saw what appeared to be faces looking out from the mortar in the walls. Surprisingly to me it was where I was sure I heard a sigh when I went down before the guests had arrived. It may have been just an illusion but at Tatton Hall the feeling is one of overwhelmingly welcoming. As I asked if there were any spirits there I could hear the EMF detector buzzing in the great hall. Coincidence? Before, we left the cellars Adi accurately gave me the names of some ofmy friends, and this is from a gentleman I had only met a few hours before. He then said that, ‘I should write that book,’and ‘Washington would be better than Brooklyn for a visit.’ Both statements had a very strong resonanceto my life and I was both startled as I was amazed.

At the end of the evening we conducted the human pendulum in the barn. As we headed out there the guest who earlier asked me how the EMF detectors work came to me. He said heused it around the bed chamber and besides the bed it flashed and buzzed to sayan electric anomaly had been detected. That was a remarkably successful piece of evidence. Spirits must have been there hence the orband cold spots! I have mentioned the human pendulum in a previous blog so I will write differently here. We were there under the beams of the barnkeeping dry from the outside rain. Guests like the human pendulum because it brings them together at theend of the evening as friends whereas they began the evening as strangers. So, as we all parted we parted in the knowledge that new friendships had been made but before we left a guest showed me a picture he took on his mobile phone. There at the end of a corridor facing the living room downstairs was the distinct shape of a figure. That was perhaps one of the best pictures I had ever seen. The ghost hunt at Tatton Hall was a huge success thanks to an amazing set of guests. The team look forward to the next investigation at Tatton Old Hall with Most Haunteds Medium Chris Conway on the 3rd November!!! What lays in wait for us on the night will the Ghosts of the past communicate with us!!

Well what can I say? First time I have ever been to this kind of event and wasn't really to sure what to expect...Apprehensive to say the least, IT WAS GREAT!!! Rachel and the Team (Amanda, Julie, Adrian, Chester and the Ol Park Ranger Mick) were fantastic and of course we met up with twenty or so other guest and had a fantastic time, the team were friendly and very knowledgable about the area we were covering for the Ghost Hunt it self. People say it can be done with magnetism and other gadgets, but to actually experience the real events is quite something else. Some of the stories are unimaginable and it seriously does play with the mind. Is it...Isn't it true? WELL, I suggest you turn up to one of these events and find out yourselves. I enjoyed this night out, scary, funny and a little in between, The anticipation grabs you throughout. Great stuff! Thank you Rachel and Team From Vic & Mark.

York ghost hunt at Haunted 35 Stonegate on 16th and 17th June 2012 with Medium Mike Tottey and Ghost Night Events

This was my third time at Stonegate and a revelation to me. After the second ghost hunt I thought there was little more to discover but I was very wrong. Stonegate is a very Haunted House in York which becomes a bigger place the more you visit it. With a small intimate group this was going to be one of the most successful and exciting ghost hunts yet.

The evening began with Rachel Heaton welcoming the guests and introducing them to the team. Present was Medium Mike Tottey who made this evening so special. Also present was Brett with whom I enjoyed exploring Drakelow tunnels, Amanda whom I met at Falstaff, the affable Craig and myself. It was a great honour to me to be introduced as a team member of such a fantastic team from a company I thoroughly recommend. Following the introduction the ghost hunt began.

We began the ghost hunt in the Dining room. This room has an elegant feeling and appearance to it. With green walls, a painted ceiling, a golden grammar phone, a lounge sofa and a long dining table. This room alone is a delight to visit. As I followed Mike in I felt a chill and Phil, a regular to 35 Stonegate, said without prompt that a spirit of a little girl walked in after me. Phil sees this spirit regularly on each of his visits and I was earlier pleased to point out to him in the base room two photographs. Each photograph was on either side of the cathedral like window. To my surprise he knew quite a lot about the children in the pictures. He knew their names and ages. It appeared that the spirit of the little girl liked Phil and even felt safe with him from the spirit of who could be a monk or clergyman in the attic room. Mike quickly picked up the residual energy of a woman who is waiting for somebody to return who worked for the ‘Merchants of Mumbai.’ Mike said his ship sank in 1903. It will be worth searching through any surviving documents to see if the ship itself could be identified. He also sensed the presence of, ‘Jack’ a spirit who did not like Mike and left him feeling drained. As we left for the séance room a guest felt a cold breeze move right through her.

We then visited the séance room. I used to think it was just a panelled room with a very large round table in the middle with chairs all around but things were going to be much more surprising. A guest felt the impression of a beautiful lady in green where Phil himself saw a shadow on a previous visit. She was described as having her hair sometimes up and sometimes down. Brett also had seen an apparition of a torso in red in the same place. He had mentioned this during the introduction downstairs and this is what makes these events so great when witnesses recount the same thing from their own unique experiences. This was also the place where Rachel and Mike had previously experienced a green mist. As people spoke it was noticed that batteries were going dead and Mike recommended leaving a recording device in this room. Something was going to happen. Some of the guests then felt somebody was passing them by. Rachel asked this spirit if it would touch somebody when Mike said it was standing behind one ofthe guests, looking back at us. The sameguest heard a whispering but could not understand what was being said. Brett took pictures and captured a few orbs, one of which had a very distinct face within. His other pictures were really interesting with what can be described as a curious red mist moving about the table.

Next we were all moved to the Mask room. Along each panelled wall hung masks from all over the world. Some scream at you, others leer while others seem to grin and belittle you all under the glow of a dim red light. The presence of a fire place gives you little comfort nor feeling of familiarity. The mask room has a very different feel to it. The floor itself offers little security. It creaks as much as it slopes at an angle. This is a room that draws people in as much as they want to leave. The door creaked as we all entered inside. Mike sensed a man and a woman here but of different time periods and also the presence of two spirit children aged 10 and 11. One guest experienced her battery compartment on her camera open itself. We quickly moved onto the next room after suggesting a lone vigil there later on.

We went into a new room recently opened up to investigation. This was a first. Mike pointed out this is where we can expect to find the monk. Rachel and Phil pointed out that he was not a nice spirit and funnily one of the male guests oddly added, ‘no he is not.’ Before we left for the attic room Brett and I had difficulty focussing our cameras. I really wondered why it was so difficult to get a picture despite my camera being usually so reliable. Mike called us into the adjacent attic room. Mike said the attic room had a better feeling than before because of the room next door being opened up. A guest asked me to pace back and forth as she felt somebody moving past her but it wasn’t me. Then I could smell a terrible smell. It was not any of us. I made sure to point that out. The smell could be described as a musty woollen smell. It was not nice at all. Phil experienced the same thing and as we discussed this Mike announced that he felt energy, an unpleasant vibration seeping through the walls. Mike then passed on a message. He subconsciously projected a message, ‘calm down we are coming to do an investigation.’ He got a reply, ‘we know you are here’ in an un friendly harsh manner. Immediately after everyone burst into life – they heard something but I never captured it on my Dictaphone! That moment alone is an invitation to do another investigation in future.

After a short break we returned to the séance room. Mike led the way and asked us all to sit quietly and project our energies into the room for the spirits to use. What happened next was very odd and I asked Brett to confirm what I could see and not see. With my IR camera I could video everyone else but not Mike! Mike said Jack was responsible. Mike recommended I analyse that part of the video at home. It may reveal Jack himself. We will see but until then I have no explanation for what happened. As I took pictures with my still camera, Mike was touched on his left shoulder. Rachel then noticed that the door had opened when she had closed it and a guest felt something running under the table. As I went around the room to video in IR Mike pointed out that Jack was standing behind one guest, Graham, who would appear to be the centre of attention later on. Mike asked the spirit, ‘does our presence both you in this room?’ Everyone heard a ‘yes’ and most amazingly I have it recorded! A few minutes later the K2 meter flickered into life. It had detected something as Mike got the name, ‘Montague’ and then the, ‘bones of Montague.’ Rachel asked if it was a dog and I also thought of a dog just as a guest thought he felt one by his foot under the table. There were so many related experiences in such a short time that the atmosphere was amazing. The guests then used the Ouija board. The ouija board produced the name ‘Tom W’ and Phil said that the spirit of the boy in the house was called Tom. At this point Mike began to look very gaunt and exhausted. The board responded ‘goodbye’ when Mike asked questions but when asked how many spirits were present by a guest the number 3 came through and again, ‘no’ when asked if he wanted to hurt us. The spirit gave his age as 8 and itwas recognised that this was a spirit of Emily not Tom. It appeared that all three spirits had made their presence known.

We then returned to the attic and adjacent room. We repeated an experiment which previously was very successful. I recited a prayer in Koine Greek which any clergyman from the middle ages would recognise and hopefully respond to. We did not get the response we expected. We expected to hear a response but we did feel distinct chills as though a presence had come to see what we were doing. Rachel recorded a rapid temperature change from 26.4 degrees centigrade down to 22.7 degrees centigrade in moments. From this point on the investigations were in smaller groups so everybody had a real opportunity to explore the secrets of Haunted 35 Stonegate in York.

From this point on my Dictaphone was left in the Dining room and I have to rely on the infrared video to recounton our final investigation in the séance room. From what is known about the house a guest, Graham, asked if the spirit there felt guilty about taking the life of a pregnant young woman. A distinct ‘yes’ was heard by everybody but sadly not picked up on the video. There were only five of us in the room and with the help of an IR camera I could see that nobody said the ‘yes.’ It was a genuine response from a spirit. Then there was a fairly rapid and quiet tapping on the table. For a while nobody thought much of it. I went to stand behind Graham and noticed that there was a really distinct cold spot like a tingling damp sensation. I asked Graham to put his hand out and hefelt the same thing as did Rachel when she came round. Immediately the tapping sound returned and with the IR camera I could see that it was a pair of night vision goggles on the table. They were rocking back and forth but with a persistent motion rather than with a diminishing motion as if knocked. I said then that I had a feeling as if somebody was saying, ‘let me speak.’ As I said so a growl like, ‘no’ was heard by all. I insisted that Rachel stand where I was stood because of a cold sensation on my neck and shoulders and Grahamalso felt a tingling sensation. I had never experienced anything like it. What happened next really challenged my own perceptions. I asked the spirit, a few times, to stand in front of me and allow me to take a picture. In each picture, a distinct blue orb can be seen. In one picture Graham is pointing directly atit and where he saw something move by the curtains. I have always said that 99% of orbs are dust but in this context the pictures I got fell into the 1% category. Rather than state, ‘it is dust’ I had to conjecture that these orbs were the gleams of my camera flash against a small charge of energy of a spirit. Rachel pointed out,

‘You have got to believe in orbs Kester’ as she gently elbowed me in the ribs. I do now.

As with all the Ghost Night Events it was a spectacular night and the great thing is very often genuine ghost activity is experienced and those experiences are shared by really wonderful people and I do refer to the guests here. There could be another revelation waiting when all the evidence is reviewed but Stonegate certainly has more secrets to reveal on the next paranormal ghost investigation / ghost hunting experience.

St Briavels Paranormal Investigation with Most Haunteds Medium Chris Conway and the Ghost Night Events Team 18th May 2012

St BriavelsCastle Friday to Saturday 18th and 19th May 2012 with Chris Conway and Ghost Night Events.

I was told a couple of times that I would love St Briavels Castle. I always replied that I have loved every evening on the Ghost Night Events but when I arrived, I really loved St Briavels Castle. It is a large round castle with two towers, a large gate way surrounded by high walls. Enclosed inside is a green walk area which gave the feeling of peace, isolation and surprise. Surrounded on all sides the cool air gave way to a damp mist, the scene was set. Tonight was going to be special. Rather than watching theevening from behind a lens as an observer, as I had done on all the previous evenings I had attended, this time I was invited to be a team member. It was an opportunity too good to miss.

After what can be described as a magnificent mediaeval banquet Medium Chris Conway lead a walk around of the castle. He began by explaining to all the guests that a warm and positive atmosphere will increase the energy and it is with that energy which mediums communicate. Theguests at St Briavels that night were such a positive crowd that it wasinevitable so many remarkable experiences were to happen.

We started in the top room of the tower, the Constable’s room. Chris picked up the energy of a lonely, sad woman who is constantly looking out of the window with sorrow, waiting for a certain gentleman. She was not trapped here but she was so desperate to see his return that she stays. As he spoke interference was heard through the hearing enhancers, a long shrill whining sound. In the prison room on the floor below Chris picked up the energy of a weapons keeper who went to spirit between 400 or 500 years ago. He was aggressive in life and aggressive in spirit. Chris also got the feeling of the energies of children. At this point some of the guests could hear the voices of children talking through the hearing enhancers. The names which came through were Henry and Thomas. At this point two guests said they heard, ‘yes’ after Henry was mentioned. Then Chris got the name Rupert to name three children. In the oubliette room Chris experienced the stale smell of cooked chicken rotting. Another guest said she smelt the same thing. Chris said he felt that he wanted to get into the pit below the room as that is where there was so much energywhich wanted his help. At that point Rachel heard her name being called out which was also heard by a number of the guests. Using the EMF meter Rachel asked if a spirit was present. Although it was never picked up on my audio recorder a ‘yes’ was clearly heard by a lot of theguests while the EMF meter flashed red at the same time. This spirit came through as ‘Margaret.’ At this point the night had only just begun.

In the prison room lots of energies were picked up by Chris, one of whom was named Hugh who was taken and hanged like, ‘a piece of old jewellery’ and denied a proper burial. Rachel got the date 1157 and the old name Dubois. Chris said he had to come back later to free this spirit who was trapped. Early the next morning I asked Chris if he had remembered to go back to help Hugh. He told me that he had and as he had just come from that direction I have no doubt that Chris had done just that. In the Upper Room the hearing enhancers whistled even though there was no interference from anywhere. It appeared that the disturbances were based around Chris.

In the Upper Room Chris felt the presence of a spirit who wasa holy man but of a quite unholy nature. Chris felt him laughing in his face and calling him a, ‘coward.’ This spirit sat down next to Emma while aguest near her said he felt the presence of a spirit. Being the spirit of a priest or clergy man it was agreed that I could speak some Koine Greek, the language of the New Testament, to encourage a response. I decided to say something very cheeky in Koine and immediately the EMF meter spiked at red. Although I feel that Ishould not say what I said what happened next was no coincidence. Rachel started to call me Christopher which is my first name. She has never called me that before. It was very disturbingfor me and I was too anxious to say anything but Chris Conway did mention itmuch to my relief. I felt very anxious why Rachel was calling me Christopher and Rachel said she felt as though shewanted to smirk and say, ‘she does not care.’ As she spoke the EMF meter spiked red again. As we tried to provoke the spirit the spirit appeared to try to provoke back. The atmosphere became quite spooky but Chris, always the gentleman asked the spirit to slaphim or the man kneeling down, with the glasses and camera [who was speaking Koine] around the head, much to the amusement of everybody.

The next room was the hanging room and the spirit of the hanged man, Hugh, approached Chris and said he was taken to the room above afterhe was hanged. Rachel felt that thepriest had followed her into this room and her left eye began to ache which Rachel attributed to the priest as an injury he may have suffered. After everyone said they were not intimidatedby this spirit one of the female guests heard a growl behind her. Those with hearing enhancers listened to seeif they could hear something. The spirit said to Chris he wants somebody to face him alone. I and one other volunteered and Chris said hewanted me. Chris then got his second name, Marlin, and a second growl was heard. I was keen to face this spirit, Chris was mediating and Rachel wasanxious after what happened at the Creaky Cauldron. A guest asked for a date for this spirit and Chris gave a number of around 600 years ago since he, the priest, had lived. As the guests went down I wasleft alone in the dark. All I could see is red light from my dictaphone and the small image through my infrared camera. Immediately, the room got colderand colder. I walked around the roomasking why I should like this spirit when I stepped right into a cold spot. It moved away and I took another step forward right into the cold spot again. In the video I took it is quite clear to see the hairs on my armsstanding up. As I reviewed the audio itis also clear to hear that there is the sound of a breath recorded, yet I was on the other side of the room.

After the walk around the guests were engaged in their own investigations. Some guests took part in a Ouija board while others watched. At this point the guests, Rachel, Chris and myself had taken our first steps alone in the dark. From this point on, like all of the Ghost Night events, everybody becomes more in tune with their own personal experiences. There is nothing contrived on these events. It is the guests who try the Ouija board, take photographs, ask questions or use the spirit radio as I call it. It is like a radio but scans through all the radio frequencies through which voices can beheard. There is no way of controlling what you will hear and in those instances where fouls language is heard you must remember that swearing is generally not allowed to be broadcast. Some guests prefer to use night visiongoggles while others use hearing enhancers. As a part of the evening guests were invited to be alone in other rooms as other guests would ask spirits to go and touch. The guests that night were very brave and willing to try the challenge. Indeed it had to be one of the best nights I had ever experienced. It had to have been a memorable and exhilarating experience for the guests too, most of them swapped details to keep in touch but there was still so much more to come. Rachel used the spirit radio again to greateffect. It is really remarkable as I listen to the audio again and hear for the second time what happened. I have it here, recorded, Rachel asked, “Youlike Christopher, don’t you?” She said my name again – always calling me Christopher instead of ‘Kester’ when an answer came over the radio, “yes.” She asked why this priest wanted me alone andthere was a distinct answer, “axion.” At first I thought it was the Koine word for bread but with a heavy accent until I later checked my books. It meant something else. It meant, “worthy.” In this context it would have been used todenote an opponent but there was something else which made this night something else. I made a continually made the same grammatical error when I spoke Koine and that reply, axion, copied the same error! It was deliberate.

Rachel continued to call me Christopher while the spirit radio continued to reply to her and gave his name, when asked, as “Andrew.” After hearing his name guestshad the opportunity to wander off alone. As they went away Rachel would ask if a spirit would follow them and make themselves known. One guest came back and said he saw an orb and felttouched on his left side...Rachel had asked if a spirit would touch his left leg. Then it was my turn. At this point I left the room and had no ideawhat was being said. Rachel asked the spirit of the priest to show himself to me at the doorway and to touch me onthe nose. When I returned all that I felt was cold on my right side. What I never said and was that three times I closed the main door behind me in the other room and three times when I turned round the door was immediately wide open again and it never made a sound.

One of the strangest sounds to have come over the spirit radio / Franks Box was the sound of breaking glass. Rachel asked if anyone had broken a glass. From the spirit radio came a grunt and then ayes. Or was it one of the strangest sounds? Throughout the night I kept a recording of nearly everything and there in the background is the sound of acat. It meows and then further away in another room are two bangs. Nobody mentioned any of this so it was as much as a surprise to me to listen to this as it must be to the guests who may read this. As the evening ended Rachel asked me to say goodnight. In Koine I said thank you and immediatelythere was a reply on the radio, “why thank you.”

The evening ended there and I invite you to come along yourself so that you can experience your own Ghost Night event. Each event is unique and if you bring with you a positive or at least an open minded attitude you are very likely to have your own ghost experience. Finally, somany really wonderful and dear friendships were made that night and it could also be the same for you. Ghost Hunting with the team in some fantastic Haunted Locations.
